Stirling Electric & Irrigation Completes Phase One at Hotel Daphne in Houston Heights
Showcasing Multi-Trade Execution Under Tight Deadlines
Houston, Texas — Stirling Electric & Irrigation announces the successful completion of Phase One of its exterior lighting, electrical, and irrigation scope at Hotel Daphne, a 49-room boutique hideaway in Houston Heights developed by Bunkhouse Hotels.
Hotel Daphne was designed to deliver a highly curated guest experience where architecture, landscape, and atmosphere operate as one. Executing that vision required tight coordination across trades, technical precision, and the ability to deliver under a compressed construction timeline.
Material delays and schedule pressure required disciplined coordination across trades. Stirling delivered the lighting, irrigation, and electrical systems without disruption to the project timeline. Partner support from WAC Lighting was critical in meeting fixture demands and maintaining progress.
Our focus is always on building systems that perform flawlessly behind the scenes while shaping what guests feel the moment they step outside,” said Bryan Daniel, Director at Stirling Electric & Irrigation. “On a project like Hotel Daphne, coordination is everything. When one team owns lighting, electrical, and irrigation, you eliminate gaps and keep momentum.
Phase One included the installation of 65 integrated landscape lighting fixtures, exterior electrical infrastructure, and a high-efficiency irrigation system across courtyards and outdoor gathering spaces.
Stirling’s lighting approach emphasized layered illumination to create an intimate nighttime environment, with careful attention to beam angles, fixture placement, and real-time field adjustments after dark.
“Seeing the pin spot lighting come together on the back patio terrace was impressive,” said McDugald Steele landscape architect Travis Peifer. “It brings function and aesthetics together in a way that really elevates the space.”
In addition to completing Phase One, Stirling Electric & Irrigation has begun advancing infrastructure for the next stage of development, including expanded electrical systems to support parking, access control, and future operations.
Phase Two will include a full buildout of additional guest rooms, an event center, and expanded outdoor amenities including bungalows and pool.
This project highlights Stirling’s multi-trade delivery model, where lighting, irrigation, and electrical systems are executed under one roof. By consolidating scope, builders and landscape project teams benefit from streamlined communication, reduced coordination risk, and faster project timelines.
As Stirling continues to expand into commercial and hospitality environments, projects like Hotel Daphne demonstrate the company’s ability to deliver both performance-driven infrastructure and refined outdoor experiences.
The project team included Bunkhouse Hotels, Blanchard A+D, Darwin McCredie Architect, Rio Grande Organics, McDugald Steele Landscape Architects & Contractors, Water Line Designs and Forney Construction Group.
